Stage 1: Calm Ocean

Calm Ocean is the opening map and costs 0g to enter with the starting boat. Use this area to learn the fishing cycle, earn your first currency, and understand how hooks and item requirements affect special catches.

Documented encounters appear at 50m, 200m, and 300m. Do not assume depth alone is enough: the secondary guide lists a hook and gift requirement for each special encounter.

Stage 2: Rocky Ocean

Rocky Ocean is listed as the second map, with a 1500g access cost and the regular boat. Its documented encounters extend from 100m to 600m.

This stage introduces a wider range of hooks and requirements. If you are repeatedly unable to complete a target, return to the shop and compare your equipment with the encounter requirement.

Stage 3: Turbulent Ocean

Turbulent Ocean is the third stage. The available guide lists a 5000g cost and a reinforced boat requirement. Its progression reaches 1000m, including a letter found at the deepest documented point.

The equipment curve is steeper here: several catches require stronger hooks, and the ocean’s later targets demand substantially more depth than the first two maps.

Stage 4: Dark Ocean

Dark Ocean is the fourth and deepest documented area. It requires the Golden Boat and is listed at 8000g. The secondary guide documents targets from 50m down to 2000m.

Expect long retrieval times and stricter combinations of equipment and items. A player report on the developer’s itch.io page specifically notes that reeling from Dark Ocean can take much longer.
